The Corner office Message from the PDGC
We hope this edition finds you and your family well.

Greetings Members

I hope this finds you and your family safe and healthy. We know that this is a trying time for District 19 front line essential Machinists.   We know the Carriers on their right hand tell you that your health and safety is the most important thing to the, however on their left hand they tell their front line management personnel “get the work no matter what the cost is”.   We are addressing every issue of health and safety, especially each issue concerning the COVID – 19 Virus that is brought to us with the Carriers.   The work you do is essential, not only essential but provides the necessities to combat and conquer this Pandemic for all of America. We encourage Local Reps to bring all safety and health issues, especially those that pertain specifically to COVID – 19 Virus directly to local management and your General Chairman. We ask that you document each issue and/or concern that you or your members have. Your General Chairmen are working very hard addressing all concerns and issues that are brought to them. I know that you aren’t getting the recognition that you deserve but, do know we and your GVP, Sito Pantoja recognize and truly appreciate your dedication and hard work for America.

Several important communications have been issued by our International President, Robert Martinez. Local Lodge Officers please pay close attention to these communications. They contain vital information about Local Lodge Meetings, Unemployment Stamps, Union Dues, and Grand Lodge Convention Delegate Nomination and Elections. Also sent out was a packet on the “CARES Act”/ Paycheck Protection Program (“PPP”). If you have any questions about the “CARES Act” please contact your General Chairman.
